The manufacturing data is transmitted digitally to production. The fully automatic system welds the bars according to the plan in the specified distances and positions on the assembly lines and thus produces a dimensionally accurate reinforcement element.

Up to 15 reinforcement carpets fit on a track, which usually leaves the yard full loaded with 24 tonnes of product.
BAMTEC Evolution - Advanced Machine
Evolve has acquired the latest BAMTEC Evolution from Progress Maschinen and Automation. Progress Maschinen & Automation is a powerful, innovative manufacturer and developer of machines and plants in the field of reinforcing steel processing. The BAMTEC Evolution from progress is a fully automatic production system for the manufacture of BAMTEC made to measure mesh elements. It comprises a straightening and cutting unit for the fully automatic production of bar from the coil, together with a welding unit, which welds the straightened bars to a BAMTEC made to measure mesh element. Immediately after welding, the BAMTEC element is rolled on to a roller unit.

The earlier the decision is made to use BAMTEC, the greater the possible savings and increase in efficiency. In principle, you can switch to BAMTEC reinforcement during the entire planning phase. A detailed consultation about the possible savings potential of BAMTEC and a close cooperation with the project structural engineer is where it all starts for us at Evolve.
Optimisation and Cost
The first thing we do is optmise the bar lengths of the BAMTEC carpets. For N24, N28, and N32, optimisation allows the use of stock bars, or cut to length (CTL) bars direct from the mill for special lengths. For N10 to N20, our advanced machine BAMTEC Evolution can use coils, that means that we can produce any size of BAMTEC Carpets.
The above process of optimisation allows for lower cost of material by eliminating the process of cutting the bars, as stock bars, cut to length (CTL) bars, and coils are used for BAMTEC. It also allows for reducing the scrap caused by processing the reo. The cost of manufacturing of BAMTEC is compensated by reduced cost of materials (stock) and reduced cost of on site installation. Hence, BAMTEC is cost neutral to implement on the project except for faster construction program as an outcome.
